SCHOLARSHIP GUIDELINES

Eligibility Criteria
- Candidate must be gay, lesbian, bisexual, or transgendered
- Candidate must be pursuing post-secondary education at a Central Ohio (Franklin and contiguous counties) college or university or Wilmington College in Wilmington, Ohio
- Candidate must have at least a 2.75 grade point average
Selection Criteria
Recipients will be chosen on the basis of the following selection criteria with the following weighting:
- Character: 75%
- Financial Need: 25%
An interview with the top candidates may be requested.
Payment/Distribution
- Scholarship award shall be paid directly to the institution chosen by the recipient
- Scholarship award may be used for tuition only
- Scholarship award may be renewable, but prior recipients must reapply
Selection Committee
The Legacy Fund of The Columbus Foundation shall have sole discretion in the selection of a recipient, based on the aforementioned selection criteria.
