Ariel Baumwell a graduate student in the Gender and Women’s Studies Department at UW-Madison and a Student Patient Advocate for the Center for Patient Partnerships is looking for participants for a research study. You are receiving this email because you are an organization which has transgender and LGBT members or are an individual who may be interested in the study. Your email address was obtained via a google search for transgender related organizations. If this is something your group may be interested in would you be willing to forward this to your list serve or include this announcement in any monthly newsletter your organization provides?
This study is about transphobia in the health care system and how people who identify somewhere on the transgender spectrum navigate the health care system. If you take part in this study, you would answer a confidential online questionnaire which would take 10-15 minutes to complete or a 15-20 minute phone interview. To be able to take part in this study, you must live in the U.S, be 18 years of age or older, identify somewhere along the transgender spectrum, and have visited a health care provider.
