HR 3492 Explained:
- Threatens to imprison doctors providing gender-affirming care to most youth under the age of 18

- Threatens to imprison parents helping their children access gender-affirming care under the age of 18
- May threaten to imprison doctors & mohels who perform circumcisions' on cisgender baby boys
- May threaten sexual assault victims due to a wide interpretation of sterilization
- Would likely increase barriers to adult gender-affirming care through an increased climate of fear
- Exemption is made for non-consensual surgeries done to intersex babies
- Exemption is made for cis teenage girls to get breast implants
