Every year, TransOhio hosts its state-wide Trans & Ally Symposium in Columbus, where transgender and gender nonconforming people, their allies, and providers meet to gain education, support, and camaraderie. The Symposium has grown to include over 80 workshops in just 3 days. Through the Jocelyn Gibson Memorial Scholarship, transgender youth are admitted for free. TransOhio strives to make its events as accessible as possible, and no community member has ever been turned away due to inability to pay. Still, funds are not unlimited and we need your help to keep our programming available to all those who need it. Your contribution today will make an impact on individual lives, whether you donate $5, $50, or $500.
On Giving Tuesday, November 27, Facebook and PayPal will match a total of $7 Million in donations! TransOhio is an all-volunteer trans-led 501(c)3 nonprofit organization that puts 100% of donations towards programming. In addition to the Symposium, TransOhio is also proud to offer the community resources, job fairs, networking and social events, cultural competency training, a lending library, free legal name & gender change clinics, and more! This work simply isn’t possible without your help. Thank you for your continued support.
#GivingTuesday is a global giving movement that has been built by individuals, families, organizations, businesses and communities in all 50 states and in countries around the world. This year, #GivingTuesday falls on November 27. #GivingTuesday harnesses the collective power of a unique blend of partners to transform how people think about, talk about, and participate in the giving season. It inspires people to take collective action to improve their communities, give back in better, smarter ways to the charities and causes they believe in, and help create a better world. #GivingTuesday demonstrates how every act of generosity counts, and that they mean even more when we give together. Give to TransOhio on #GivingTuesday, and you will make a difference both to the Ohio transgender community and individuals!
