2019 TransOhio Trans & Ally Symposium: Voices & Visibility
The TransOhio Transgender and Ally Symposium began as a one day event in 2008, attended by approximately 80 people, and has since grown to be a three day conference with over 250 participants, 75+ workshops, and various continuing education credits for qualifying professionals on our Providers Day.
This year’s symposium will be held at the Ohio State University Student Union on April 26-28, 2019.
Providers Day, which is geared towards professionals working within the transgender community, will be held on Friday, April 26. Continuing education credits (CLE/CME/CEU/CE) are pending. If you are seeking continuing education credits, please be sure to register for Providers Day. For more information, please see the Schedules below.
The General Symposium is an all-ages event, which will cover multiple topics. The General Symposium is geared towards transgender and gender nonconforming community members, family and friends of transgender individuals, and allies. Everyone is welcome. You may attend Saturday only, Sunday only, both days of the General Symposium, or the entire Symposium.
TransOhio will not turn away anyone in the community who wishes to attend the Symposium but lacks financial resources to do so. Scholarships are available for anyone who needs one; please fill out the Scholarship Application and send to firstname.lastname@example.org by 12:00PM April 25. Upon approval, you will be provided directions to complete registration for the Symposium. The symposium is free to anyone under the age of 18. Simply register and select complimentary registration under the youth category.

As a 501 C 3 non profit organization, TransOhio endeavors to keep the costs of attendance to the Symposium to a minimum and also provides scholarships to those who cannot afford the full price of admission.
Because of this, our registration fees do no begin to cover the actual cost of holding the Symposium; and therefore, we rely on sponsorship from individuals, businesses, and organizations. The Symposium began as a community event, and its continued success is possible only through the support of people like you!
Please familiarize yourself with our sponsor/vendor packet for more information, and contact us if you have any questions. Sponsorship packets should be returned to firstname.lastname@example.org by Thursday, February 28, 2019 and funds are promised by Friday, March 29, 2019. Community vendors will still be accepted after that time, space permitting (although we cannot promise inclusion in printed materials if packets are not returned in a timely fashion, so please try to get them in early!).
